The Adventures of M-Cat and Ma-Fysh :)

Well, it’s over. The first week of Camp has officially come to an end. Week One has always been one of my top 5 weeks of the summer, but this year may have bumped it up a few spots. The campers were phenomenal, and even the ones that challenged us had their moments. Staff — you guys did great. I really don’t think you are told this enough, but you are all really special, wonderful people. It takes a certain kind of person to be a Camp Counsellor, and I’m proud to call you guys part of the Bimini Family. Weather: Great. Food: Amazing. Spontaneous Post-Talent Show Dance Parties: Unforgettable. 

Thanks for helping make my first week as Leadership Director amazing. I was a little uncertain going into the week, but you guys just make me feel so at ease and comfortable. 

Keep on Smiling, and Dreaming Big Dreams. If you work Week Two, I will see you in 2167 minutes. If not, sad faces all around, but…

Well guys its been a while but I feel we need a lil update as to all the exciting things the three of us have been up to!
Well we have opened the pool and its getting used a lot, well the deck is anyways (for relaxing) not that we aren’t busy lol. We had June Training last weekend and it was fantastic, staff looks great for the summer. We had great discussions, games and some pretty sweet laughs! Our Open House had a great turn out and we met a lot of new campers coming this summer, and heard tons of stories about why other people love Bimini and how it impacts them! We have installed accessible ramps to the back porch, back washrooms and cabin five this is a great step forward for us to ensure that everyone feel welcomed at camp! And now we are very busy with school groups, one a day till the end of June. I love school groups they really get me excited for the summer to come! Anyway I’m off to the land of nod and can’t wait till we meet again!

CIT training is over…and now she rests!

Well as Ma-Fysh said a short while ago, we are in fact moved into Camp! Finally, I moved out of my London apartment a few weeks ago and have been living at my parents places ever since. I love Huron County and my friends and family there but here at camp is my home. Since high school I have spent more time here than at any other place. It was not official that I was moved in until I made supper and had a sit down shower and now that these things are done I am ever so happy to be able to finally say I am home! I am really pumped to have two such incredible roommates that I know will inspire me to do and be the best I can be for the next 4 months! Thanks for everyone who follows and make sure you tell everyone how awesome this place is and what it is that keeps the spirit alive in your hearts!

Welcome home! Well, it’s official - Martin and I are all moved out to Camp!!
